Description:
As the woven seat is somewhat elastic, Sunda is very comfortable and also ideal for longer periods of sitting. This stool is not only an additional seat in your home, but also enhances it with its timeless design. The wood is simply finished with a transparent protective varnish to preserve its warm brown colour. Sunda blends harmoniously into any environment.
Main material: Trembesi (rain tree wood)
Trembesi is also known as a rain tree and can be found widely scattered throughout Southeast Asia, where it often grows along roads or in parks. As the tree originally comes from South America, no rainforest has to be cut down in Indonesia to obtain the wood: The fast-growing tree is usually found in urban areas, where it has been planted by humans for ornamental purposes. To limit its growth, the sprawling branches are regularly cut off and the wood is used for furniture production. Our Trembesi comes from East Java. The wood is relatively similar in colour and structure to teak, but has a significantly better sustainability balance.
Other material: Recycled paper
