Author:
Ana Romas was born in 1989 and grew up in a small village on the banks of the Irtysh River in Kazakhstan. As a budding teenager, she emigrated to Germany with her mother, where, after stints in various emergency shelters, she settled in a small town on the Lower Rhine.
Ana's cooking style is significantly influenced by her childhood in Kazakhstan and her move to Germany – her cooking is decidedly down-to-earth, yet her mostly vegetarian dishes simultaneously possess a remarkable creative flair. On her blog, "Russian Raclette," and the Instagram channel of the same name, she not only reinterprets her mother's recipes using regional ingredients but also successfully alleviates her frequent wanderlust with her international culinary masterpieces.
