The Güde knives of the ALPHA Olive series are classic Solingen craftsmanship in a timelessly simple design, high-quality workmanship and extremely functional. The hand-forged blade is made from a piece of chrome-vanadium-molybdenum knife steel, rustproof, ice-hardened and sharpened by hand. The handle of the Güde knives from the ALPHA Olive series consists of 100 to 500 year old, very hard and weatherproof olive wood, the structure of which has a lively grain and looks particularly elegant in combination with the shiny steel.
Stone or ceramic cutting mats should be avoided at all costs, as they damage the blade and quickly dull it. To protect the blade, a cutting board made of wood or plastic is recommended.
Since the Güde knife from the ALPHA Olive series has an aluminum rivet, it must not be cleaned in the dishwasher. However, it is sufficient to clean the knife blade with a damp cloth immediately after use.
In order to avoid damage to the blades and handles, the high-quality knife should never be lying loose in the drawer. For home use, it is therefore advisable to store the knife in a suitable knife block. Magnetic strips, blade guards or knife holders are good alternatives.
